Key dates of the 2010 NFL off-season


February 11th -
Clubs begin designating franchise or transition players.

February 24th - March 2nd -
NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Draft-eligible players complete medical screenings first, and later meet with club officials and complete performance drills.
February 25th -
The period for clubs to designate franchise or transition players ends.

March 4th -
Deadline to make one-year tender offers to restricted free agents expires. If the player is not tendered, he becomes a free agent. It is also the deadline for clubs to submit minimum-salary offers to their exclusive rights free agents.

March 5th -
Free agency and trading period begins at 12:01 a.m. (EST)

March 15th -
Off-season strength and conditioning programs begin.

March 21st - 24th -
The NFL Annual Meeting. Held in Orlando this year.

April -
2010 NFL schedule is released.

April 15th -
Deadline for the signing of offer sheets by restricted free agents passes.

April 22nd -
Round 1 of the NFL Draft is held.

April 23rd -
Rounds 2 and 3 of the NFL Draft are held.

April 24th -
Rounds 4-7 of the NFL Draft are held.

May 24th - 26th -
The NFL Spring Meeting. Held in Dallas this year.

May-July -
Clubs can begin conducting full-squad OTA practices three days a week for four weeks, and hold one three-day mini-camp for rookies and veterans.

June 27th - 30th -
The NFL Rookie Symposium in Carlsbad, Calif.

Mid-Late July -
Training camps begin. Clubs are not allowed to open camp earlier than July 5th. Veteran players cannot be required to report earlier than 15 days prior to the club's first preseason game.

August 8th -
The 2010 preseason schedule begins with the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.

August 31st- Training camp rosters must be trimmed to 75 players.

September 4th -

Rosters must be cut to 53 players.
September 9th-13th -
The regular season begins with Kickoff 2010 Weekend.
